The Easter Classic focuses on the development of talent in the Northern Region, providing a chance for aspiring players to play alongside and against unfamiliar faces while developing key skills and game knowledge. The inclusion of out of Auckland as well as National teams strengthens the competition and enables players to experience this unique opportunity.

With this tournament based on development, we wanted to name each grade's trophy after current players that our youth look up to. Each of the following individuals plays a significant part in the Softball Auckland community (and wider) and we are honoured to name The Easter Classic awards after them.

U14 Boys Grade

Black Sox Captain, Cole Evans is one to watch. Not only is he superior on the diamond, off the diamond he is humble and always happy to help. He is a fantastic role model to our young Softballers and displays great attitude and leadership within his teams. Cole currently plays for Mt Albert Ramblers Premier Men and you can catch him making jawdropping plays at short stop.

Krysta Hoani is a long-standing member of our Softball community, having played over 200 premier games and has represented Auckland and the White Sox over many years. She is a force to be reckoned with on the diamond and her hard work and determination has showed in her successes so far. Keep an eye out for her in the Otahuhu Premier Women's team diving around the outfield.

Rebecca, Kyla and Tegan Bromhead are a strong trio within Auckland Softball, with all three sisters playing/played for Waitakere Bears, Auckland and the White Sox. The Bromhead's passion for Softball shines through their willingness to lend a helping hand and share their knowledge of the game with up and coming players. All three sisters show respect on and off the diamond, with many looking to them as their 'Softball Idols'.
